"Since graduating from Rhode Island School of Design in 1994 and beginning my career as a fine artist, I have found inspiration to paint in an endless variety of subjects. Whether it is light falling across a floor, children at play, an old truck or a picturesque landscape, I take the painter Ben Shahn's advice and remember 'never to look down upon anything or anyone as not worthy of notice.'
In this way I am able to challenge my skills as a painter while reaching a greater number of viewers with subjects that speak to them. It is the process of painting that I most love, with the finished pieces becoming the byproduct of my own artistic learning experience. My paintings are executed in acrylics and oils on gessoed board or paper and they hang in numerous private and corporate collections across the country."
